Pregnancy Update: 35 weeks

How many weeks?: 35 weeks (and 3 days)
Size of Baby: about the size of a swiss chard, about 6 lbs and 18-19 inches long
Countdown:
5 weeks or less!!
Total weight gain/loss: 20ish
Maternity Clothes?: Yep, or sweat pants. I go out in public in sweats more than I care to admit!

Sleeping?: Here and there. The last week I've had a cold so I've been up with a sore throat, needing to drink water, which means I have more frequent trips to the bathroom. So fun.
Worst Moment in the last 5 weeks: Being sick, again. This cold and flu season is the worst!! Also the swelling. Definitely not as bad as with Mason luckily, but if I'm on my feet too much I'm definitely puffy in the feet at the end of the day.
Best Moment in the past 5 weeks: Umm... I have to think hard about this. The last week has been really rough! Oh! I had another ultrasound and everything looks great! And she's still a girl! Oh man is she cute! The tech did a 3D image and I can't believe how much she looks like Mason and Luke!
Miss anything?: being able to bend down and pick things up. Lately I've been lowering the computer chair as low as it will go and rolling around to help clean up toys lol! But hey, whatever works! Also I miss extended periods of time not peeing. And just in the last few days if I eat too much I feel like if I burp I'm going to have acid reflux, but that might partly be because of the mucus in my throat. Stinkin colds!!
Movement: She never stops! Okay that's not entirely true. But she moves around so much. But it's a good thing because it means everything is well.
Morning Sickness?: None!
Food Cravings: I found this recipe on pinterest last year that is popcorn with melted white chocolate and m&m's mixed in. That's been the latest craving. And when I make it, I eat way too much of it in a day. But it is soooo good!
Food Aversions: still no
Showing yet?: I'm humongous lol.
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: Braxton hicks have become more frequent still, a lot of times after I eat I'll have a couple, and then at night I'll have a few.
Moods: Still super short tempered and cranky, and now I'm super emotional. I made it through the fire episode of This Is Us without losing it too bad and I was so proud haha! But the littlest things make me sob. Mostly at the end of the day when I'm exhausted.
Not Looking Forward to: How much longer cold and flu season will last. Seriously. We might be hermits for the first month of her life. I do not want to deal with a tiny baby getting a cold or flu.
Looking Forward To: Having baby!! This will be my last update post until she comes! We are so excited, and ready, for her to be here. Just need her to stay in and hang out until pretty much my due date. Sean has his surgery rotation for 4 weeks starting Monday, and the week after my due date is an in class week (which are always a little easier schedule wise), and then his spring break! So timing would just be really good for her to come on time. Since I never went into labor with the other two, I'm betting she will come right around then.

Could she be any cuter?! I mean obviously yes, when she is here and doesn't look like play dough, she will be immensely cuter. But I die looking at this picture!!

So so tired lol.
Also, I took a pic yesterday that I looked even more tired in, but I had just eaten a gigantic lunch and looked even bigger. I didn't think it was a true representation of my size so I retook the picture just before posting this. Haha.

Pregnancy Update: 30 weeks

How many weeks?: 30 weeks (and 1 day)
Size of Baby: about the size of a large cabbage, about 3 lbs and about 15.5 inches long
Countdown:
Hopefully just 10 weeks left!
Total weight gain/loss: I think about 15 lbs now??
Maternity Clothes?: Always. Living in sweats, and maternity jeans when I leave the house (sometimes).

Exercise Habits: Not so great the last few weeks. We've been sick with colds and then influenza so I haven't been doing much of anything. So not good!
Sleeping?: Getting better, I am falling asleep faster when I wake up in the middle of the night so that's good.
Worst Moment in the last 5 weeks: Being sick. It really took a toll on me and I feel like I can't catch up!
Best Moment in the past 5 weeks: I hit the point in pregnancy where my leg hair pretty much stops growing. It's the best! It happened with my first two as well lol. I literally only have to shave my legs once a month pretty much!
Miss anything?: breathing normally. Sean misses that too; the other day he told me, "I hate your pregnant breathing, I can't tell if you're mad or not!" Apparently my pregnant breathing sounds like my mad breathing.
Movement: All the time! She's still not as mean as her brothers were, her movements are more frequent but more gentle than theirs.
Morning Sickness?: Not anymore!
Food Cravings: lately, the only one has been Safeway's blueberry muffins. They are so. good.
Food Aversions: still no
Showing yet?: oh yeah, I'm getting very round!
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: Braxton hicks have become more frequent, but not consistent at all
Moods: Same as before, tired and short tempered. Nothing has changed here in the last few weeks. My poor boys and husband.
Not Looking Forward to: Being out of breath, and I'm losing more and more range of motion as far as bending over goes. It hurts to bend over and it's gonna get worse!
Looking Forward To: Getting out of cold and flu season, and the next ultrasound! Love seeing that baby girl!!

30 weeks and 1 day. Also I love this shirt. It's so comfy! Also my hair is nutso. Eye roll emoji.

25 week pregnancy update!

How many weeks?: 25 weeks (and 1 day)
Size of Baby: about the size of an acorn squash, about 1.5 lbs and about 13 inches long
Countdown:
Hopefully just 15 weeks left!
Total weight gain/loss: I think about 10-12 lbs now
Maternity Clothes?:
Totally. Garment bottoms, maternity jeans, sweats when I'm at home, and maternity shirts on full rotation. Thanks to my best friend from high school, who gave me all her maternity clothes, not all of them are the same ol' clothes I've used the last two pregnancies so it's fun shopping my closet every (other) day!
Energy Levels: My energy doesn't kick in til around 10am, and I feel really tired in the afternoon, but when I try to nap, I can't fall asleep easily. It's kind of a bummer.
Exercise Habits: Pretty good (minus Thanksgiving week). I still try and get out and walk for 45 minutes every day. I actually mapped it out the other day and it's almost 2.5 miles of walking! And then I try to remember to do push-ups and either squats or lunges when I get home but depending on what we have going on that day, sometimes I forget or am rushing to get us out the door.
Sleeping?: Off and on. A lot of the time, starting a few weeks ago, I wake up and it takes forever to fall back asleep. Like an hour or so. Not great when it happens twice a night.
Worst Moment in the last 5 weeks: The sleeping, and my tailbone started hurting! Mostly it doesn't bother me, but when I'm going from laying to standing, or rolling over, it hurts.
Best Moment in the past 5 weeks: finding out we are having a girl! It seriously took forever for it to sink in. I'm still getting used to the idea that we will have pink in the house finally! And a big thanks to the people who have given/set aside stuff for us!
Miss anything?: a smaller belly. It just gets in the way.
Movement: Tons! I feel like she moves more frequently than the boys did, but she is also more gentle than they were!
Morning Sickness?: Finally subsided for good around 21 weeks
Food Cravings: still no cravings really. Sweets are finally starting to taste better though! Not sure that's a good thing
Food Aversions: still no major aversions either. I will still get the feeling sometimes while cooking like "why am I making this? it sounds horrid" but then I eat and I'm fine
Showing yet?: Totally.
Gender: Girl! Heehee!
Labor signs: I've maybe had one or two braxton hicks total.
Moods: Tired and short tempered. Nothing has changed here in the last few weeks. My poor boys and husband.
Not Looking Forward to: I have my glucose test this week. Also not looking forward to more crankiness from me. I hate being that cranky but as much as I try to breath and control it, I'm still failing miserably.
Looking Forward To: meeting baby girl! Too bad it's still so far away!!

25 weeks with baby girl!

Pregnancy Update: 15 and 20 weeks!

Baby Parker #3 is on it's way! We are so excited for this new addition to our family. Mason keeps asking how the baby in my tummy is doing, and is it coming out yet? Not yet kiddo, not til March! I haven't thought too much about what my life will be like with 3 littles running around, because mostly I've been distracted living in King City for 8 out of the last 10 weeks. I know that it will all work out though! Here are my pregnancy updates for 15 and 20 weeks!

15 weeks:
How many weeks?: 15 weeks (and 5 days). My due date got moved up 3 days. I would have done this on my 15 week day but I didn't know I was 15 weeks, and then everybody got the flu. Yuck.
Size of Baby: about the size of an apple, about 2.5 oz and about 4 inches long
Countdown:
Brand new state, brand new doctor, so I don't know if he will induce me or make me go to 40 (or more, yikes!) weeks. I will protest being pregnant longer than 40 weeks though! So we will just say 25 weeks left and hope for the best.
Total weight gain/loss: I've kept an even weight so far! Of course, since Luke nursed until I got pregnant with this one, I never lost all my pregnancy weight from him. I was always. so. hungry.
Maternity Clothes?:
Oh yeah. At like 12 weeks I was wishing for my maternity garment bottoms, and the first thing we did after we got back to Sacramento from King City (the first time) was go get my maternity clothes out of storage. Those garment bottoms are a LIFESAVER. Most of the shirts are still a little big though, so I'm still wearing my baggy shirts I've been wearing for a year to hide my nursing belly.
Energy Levels: I felt really nauseous from about 11am til bed time this pregnancy, starting at 4.5 weeks. So I never wanted to do anything but obviously had to because, you know, kids need food.
Exercise Habits: Off and on, I would say so far I've averaged about 3 workouts a week. About a month before I got pregnant I signed up with Daily Burn, which was awesome, and then all-day sickness hit. So I think 3 exercise sessions a week is pretty good! There was like 2.5 weeks where I had a cold and didn't really exercise, and then this last week when we have all had a stomach bug I haven't worked out. Dang summer sicknesses!
Sleeping?: I sleep really well until about 5am, when I have to get up and go to the bathroom. Then it's iffy if I can get back to sleep.
Worst Moment so far: The flu this week for sure. Throwing up suuuuuucks. I also had a tiny bit of spotting that lasted a few days so I called my dr and they told me to go to the ER, so I got to hang out at the King City ER for a few hours one day. But on the plus side, I got an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay, which was the first ultrasound I'd had for this pregnancy so it wasn't all bad :)
Best Moment in the past 2 weeks: coming into my second trimester and my all-day sickness melting away! It was a glorious week, and then we all got the stupid stomach bug..
Miss anything?: not really yet. I haven't really craved any foods yet, and I kind of miss craving something and then having the satisfaction of eating it. Is that weird? Lol
Movement: None yet!
Morning Sickness?: uh yeah. Aside from the stomach bug this week, I have only thrown up twice this pregnancy.
Food Cravings: like I mentioned, no. Nothing really jumps out at me as like "EEEEAAAAT MEEE"
Food Aversions: not really. nothing really ever sounds appetizing, so I'll just cook a normal meal and then as I'm eating it, it tastes good, but while I'm cooking I'm slightly appalled that I am preparing that meal, even though I know it's going to be good. This pregnancy has been really really weird haha.
Showing yet?: Oh yeah. I feel like I started showing the minute the pregnancy test showed up positive.
Gender: No idea! My doctor tried to look at my appointment on Monday, but he couldn't really get a good shot and said "It's too early to tell." I'm guessing boy though.
Labor signs: None.
Moods: Tired and short tempered.
Not Looking Forward to: at this point there is nothing I'm not looking forward to. Maybe the glucose test? I'm not really dreading anything yet. Cold and flu season??
Looking Forward To: finding out the gender! My appointment is October 26th! Also, Sean's brother and his wife are due about 6 weeks before we are with their 3rd, and first little boy, so it will be fun to have two cousins so close in age on that side!

 15 weeks

20 weeks
How many weeks?: 20 weeks as of October 22nd
Size of Baby: About the size of an onion: 5.5 inches, 5 oz
Countdown: about 20 weeks to go! Or hopefully less!
Total weight gain/loss:  Haven't weighed myself yet honestly, but I am guessing up between 5-10 lbs.
Maternity Clothes?: yes! Garment bottoms for sure, incorporating tops, and loving the pants! I just discovered one of my non-maternity pairs of jeans that still fit and don't cut into my stomach but they slide down so it's a win-lose situation with those haha.
Energy Levels: Pretty good! I can usually make it through the day without needing a nap, and sometimes not even feeling like I need one.
Exercise Habits: I feel like I'm doing really well! The last month while we were in King City, I walked almost every day for 45 minutes, and then did squats or lunges, and pushups. If I couldn't get a walk in I would do a Daily Burn workout.
Sleeping?: I've had more insomnia this pregnancy than my other two. It takes a while to fall back asleep sometimes.
Worst Moment in the past 5 weeks: Not getting as much sleep as I want at night because I can't fall back asleep
Best Moment in the past 5 weeks: Feeling baby move, and having Sean feel baby too!
Miss anything?: Breathing normally lol! I got winded the other day loading the groceries from my cart to the conveyer belt! But that's pregnancy for you!
Movement: Yep! Not super strong yet but it's there. I feel like this kid is more calm than my first two.
Morning Sickness?: Not anymore thank goodness!
Food Cravings: Still no cravings. It's so weird!
Food Aversions: Nothing really, also weird for me!
Showing yet?: Oh yeah! Haha I don't try to hide it anymore!
Gender: We find out on the 26th of October!
Labor signs: None
Moods: I get pretty cranky and frustrated pretty fast. Not my best pregnancy quality...
Not Looking Forward to: the glucose test. I know it's not that bad but man that's a lot of sugar in 5 minutes
Looking Forward To: Gender ultrasound!!

Me at 20 weeks!

Summer 2016: Part 2

There were, like, 80 pictures I had "favorited" in photos from the summer, not including the pictures from my brother's wedding so I decided to split the summer update into two posts. Here's part 2!

Finding all the things to keep Mason entertained..

Family park trip

Mason found the headlamp..

All the heart eyes!

Someone else discovered how fun trains are!

Went down to Sunnyvale for Sam's daughter's baby blessing. Such a fun day with family!

Honey of mine!

The boys had absolutely no fun together...

6 months apart!

Like no fun at all.

When he falls asleep on his own..

When you're trapped under a sleeping Sean..

We drove to the Sacramento temple after church one day because Mason wanted to go

More park fun with my boys!

Pinecone painting!

Katie invited us to the San Diego Wild Animal Park for Claire's third birthday, and it happened to fall during Sean's school break so down we went! We stayed at Katie's in Bakersfield the first night, then stayed with Ma and Pa Vongsawad the next two nights!

They both needed a map. Obvs

The whole group!

Katie and I have been friends since 2002! 14 years!

Aaaaand they crashed

These two though...

Love my cute family and one day my kids won't be grumpy for pictures..

Mason's souvenir from the zoo. He LOVES it!

And that wraps up our summer! Now bring on the cooler temperatures of fall (please?)!

Pregnancy update: 35 weeks!

I am so stoked to be typing that number, 35 weeks! My doctor officially sent in the paperwork so I can schedule my induction on December 30th, 4 weeks from today! This pregnancy has been more physically painful than my last so needless to say I am ready for little one to be here!

How many weeks?: 35 weeks today!
Size of Baby: Apparently, about the size of a honeydew melon, weighing in at about 5 1/4 lb and measuring about 18 inches. Except at my last ultrasound baby was measuring big, so he's really probably almost 6 lbs by now. Eek!
Countdown: 4 more weeks to go! Unless little man decides to come sooner! Just not next week because my doctor is out of town haha.
Total weight gain/loss: + about 39lbs. And I'm to the point where I don't think I care anymore.
Maternity Clothes?: All the time. My maternity jeans are starting to get painful when I'm sitting so I usually just wear sweat pants unless I am actually going somewhere.
Energy Levels: About the same. Energy levels are good, but depending on the day, my actual physical condition prevents me from doing much of anything. (Like yesterday, I could barely stand to do the dishes or straighten my hair.)
Exercise Habits: Getting a little better. My good friend from high school released a third trimester exercise book and I've been doing a few exercises a day out of that (when I can actually do them). Thanks Amber!
Sleeping?: I'm waking up a couple times a night to use the bathroom. And I am super thirsty when I wake up so I always have to get some water. Then baby moves around for a few minutes before I can fall back asleep. But I feel good during the day most days so I guess I'm getting enough sleep!
Worst Moment in the past 5 weeks: Finding out baby will be much bigger! Okay so I'm making it seem worse than it really is. Baby is estimated at being about 8.5 lbs at 40 weeks. Since I am inducing at 39, he probably won't be that big. But he could. And I'm slightly terrified.
Best Moment in the past 5 weeks:  Realizing that I'm to the point where I don't have to shave my legs! My leg hairs almost stop growing when I'm pregnant. It's the best.
Miss anything?: Rolling over with ease, a normal eating schedule, exercising.
Movement: All the time. I can feel him stretch a lot, and he wiggles around quite a bit too.
Morning Sickness?: Nope.
Food Cravings: Chocolate, but I settle for wintergreen lifesavers if we don't have any
Food Aversions: Not really.
Showing yet?: I'm a beached whale
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: Wow yes. About a week ago it was to the point where I had to lay down for a couple hours before they subsided. Since then I've had bad contractions but they go away after no more than an hour. Doc said after 36 weeks go ahead and keep 'em coming and I plan to!
Moods: Getting more emotional. Poor Sean. I have to keep apologizing for/reminding him that my crazy preggo emotions
Not Looking Forward to: Swelling. So far I've been mostly okay, but as baby gets lower I will probably get a lot of swelling in my legs again.
Looking Forward To: Meeting baby! This will be my last pregnancy post before he comes and I am so excited!!

We washed/sorted through all our newborn/0-3 month baby clothes, and added what my awesome mom bought us last week. Mason LOVED looking at everything, and his reaction to almost every piece of clothing (onesies, jammies, socks, shoes, anything) was "Aww, baby!" Hopefully he is as excited when baby is no longer in my tummy and is home with us!

35 week belly. No face because I looked terrible and tired when I took the picture haha.

Pregnancy Update: 30 Weeks

Holy Cow! It feels like this pregnancy is going so much faster than the last. Maybe because of the two year old I chase around all day?

How many weeks?: 30 weeks, as of last Wednesday, the 28th
Size of Baby: About the size of a large cabbage, about 3 pounds and about almost 16 inches from head to heel. Have they seen the cabbages my dad grew at his old work though? I'm thinking not. Because I'm pretty sure baby is not a foot and a half across yet haha.
Countdown: My dr. will be inducing me at 39 weeks, so 9 more! Can I just say I have a lot more sanity this pregnancy knowing an end date, instead of just a guess date? For me personally, it is a much better situation.
Total weight gain/loss: + about 27 lbs. Guys, I just gain a lot during pregnancy. I'm learning to accept it.
Maternity Clothes?: Every day. I just ordered a few more shirts off Amazon and my cousin Kelly gave me what she had left (she had hid them somewhere different from what she already gave me). Thanks Kelly!
Energy Levels: Same, feeling pretty good most of the time! I'm always exhausted after lunch, but that's when Mason naps and I work, so I usually eat something sweet and drink a ton of water.
Exercise Habits: Not so great lately. While energy has been good, hip pain has been B.A.D. this time around. I go to Sean's work and do the Stim/heat treatment twice a week and do stretches.
Sleeping?: Much harder lately. My hips are killing me and they fall asleep and ache, which makes it hard to get back to sleep.
Worst Moment in the past 5 weeks: Hip pain. And diastisis recti. I didn't get that with Mason and it is the worst.
Best Moment in the past 5 weeks:  Passing my glucose test, cooler weather, Mason kissing my belly every night "night baby!". So cute!
Miss anything?: Rolling over with ease, a normal eating schedule.
Movement: This kid still doesn't stop moving. They had me start doing the kick count chart and I don't even have to count to 15 minutes most of the time. It's 10 movements in about 5 minutes.
Morning Sickness?: Nope.
Food Cravings: Chocolate. Thank goodness for Mason's Halloween candy lol!
Food Aversions: Not really anymore, except for brothy soups (chicken noodle).
Showing yet?: Totally huge.
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: Braxton hicks occasionally, which have calmed down. I think I've been drinking more water which is always helpful.
Moods: Just your normal preggo emotions.
Not Looking Forward to: Getting bigger and swelling. Still the same fear as last time.
Looking Forward To: Thanksgiving and Christmas, they will hopefully be good distractions and things for me to look forward to! My mom is coming for Thanksgiving (Dad has to work, boo!). Also looking forward to Sean being done with interviews and being home on the weekends! He finished his last one the weekend before Halloween and I am so glad! But more on that in another post haha.

Baby boy, we are so excited for you to get here. Mostly to see how much changes from inside to out (will you move as much as you do now??) but also to have another little boy to snuggle. We can't wait for you and Mason to develop your relationship, I have a feeling Mason will be a wonderful, caring older brother who will want to share everything with you from the beginning! So if your baby seat or bassinet has cars or animals in them all the time, know it is all out of love from Mason. Also, if you decided to come before Christmas, that wouldn't be too bad :) We love you little one! See you after Christmas!

The 28th was also my baby brother's 21st birthday! We probably should have taken the sibling picture BEFORE dinner. Ah well. Lessons for next time haha.

Pregnancy Update: Week 25

25 weeks! I'm approximately 62% done with this pregnancy. Not that I'm counting or anything. Oh wait. I totally am. Here's what's been going on!

How many weeks?: 25 weeks
Size of Baby: About the size of a rutabaga, about 1.5 pounds and about 13.5 inches from head to heel.
Countdown:
My dr. will be inducing me at 39 weeks, so 14 more!
Total weight gain/loss: + about 16 lbs.
Maternity Clothes?:
Yep. Even my t-shirts aren't quite covering my belly and my hoodies are starting to get too short too (sob). Maternity pants and maxi skirts are my go-to.
Energy Levels: Feeling pretty good most of the time! I'm always exhausted after lunch, but that's when Mason naps and I work, so I usually eat something sweet and drink a ton of water.
Exercise Habits: I try to walk for at least half an hour every day. Some days we don't get out, but if I'm cleaning for more than half an hour I think that counts.
Sleeping?: Most nights I'm okay. I wake up once to go to the bathroom. Around 630am I start getting restless and usually just lay there until Sean wakes me up before he goes to work. If it's too hot at night, my sleep is not good.
Worst Moment in the past 5 weeks: Braxton hicks. They are no fun! I don't get them very often (maybe a few times a week) but ouch.
Best Moment in the past 5 weeks:  Finding out the gender! We are really excited to have another boy (and also a little nervous to have two crazies running around).
Miss anything?: Rolling over with ease. And I know it's only going to get worse.
Movement: All. The Time. This kid rarely stops moving. I sit or lay down and commence wiggling. A few days ago he didn't stop for 4.5 hours. I was nauseous from it!
Morning Sickness?: Not anymore luckily.
Food Cravings: Frosted Mini Wheats. But the Malt-o-Meal brand. I have at least 1 bowl a day. Also Whoppers candy. I buy the little $0.98 box every week at Walmart.
Food Aversions: Nothing really. Sean will suggest something and if it doesn't sound great I just skip it. But no repulsiveness to anything anymore.
Showing yet?: Very much so. I feel huge already!
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: Just the above mentioned Braxton hicks.
Moods: Pretty much the same as last time. I get pretty emotional at the littlest things.
Not Looking Forward to: Getting bigger and swelling. Still the same fear as last time.
Looking Forward To: Cooler weather! (Gasp! Did I really just say that??) But seriously. This heat wave is killer. I just want to be a comfortable temperature.

Announcement photo! Can you see the crayon all over my shirt. Toddlers...

My sister is about 4 weeks behind me and is having a boy as well!
Double trouble coming to the Wayne and Elise Jones family early next year haha

25 weeks! Feeling mostly great haha. Keeping up with a toddler is not easy!
