My Weekend as a mom of 5...

I don't know if I am, but I secretly hope that I am Kelly and Glen's kid's favorite babysitter. I've been babysitting them for years, helped her through her pregnancy with James, and then we were pregnant together for her last and my first, and those boys get along really well. Glen had to go to Southern California/Disneyland with the cheerleaders at his high school, and Kelly hopped on that opportunity faster than me on a maple bar donut...

Anyway, they asked me to stay with the kids and I agreed! Sean dropped me off Thursday night, Kelly and Glen left at like 3am Friday morning, Sean joined me Friday night, went home Sunday night, and Kelly and Glen got back just after midnight Monday night/Tuesday morning. We had such a fun time!

Kelly had told me that the afternoon/evening usually goes a little better if James naps. So I turned on really boring movies (Dumbo and Blue Planet) and he passed out every day. This was after "Hayley, I do not need a nap! I am not tired!" Okay James, just lay down and watch the movie anyway...

The Vargas have a fun sandbox that Mason really enjoyed playing in!

On Saturday, we took the kids to the park to fly kites! The weather was perfect and Sean is a really good kite-flying teacher. Me, not so much. The older 3 loved it! This is Sarah flying.

Here's Katie flying.

The youngest two just swung on the swings, enjoying life.
(Actually, Mason gets seasick after about 5 minutes but doesn't want to stop lol.)

Me and my honey :)

James like swinging really high.

And loved flying the kite when it was his turn.

The babes finally were done with the swings and started climbing around on the playground.

On Sunday morning, Mason decided to serenade us with some piano music.

I took the younger two home after Sacrament and Sean stayed with the others for the last two hours. We made dinner and then watched a movie.

After the girls got home from school Monday, I pulled out the bubbles that their mom had bought them. Those bubbles were SO GOOD! Like seriously, best ever. They had fun running around and chasing the bubbles.

I love this picture of Michael and the sheer joy on his face!

After the kids were all asleep, Kelly and Glen got home way late. She drove Mason and I home the next morning where I promptly napped. Or worked. One of the two.
