25 week pregnancy update!

How many weeks?: 25 weeks (and 1 day)
Size of Baby: about the size of an acorn squash, about 1.5 lbs and about 13 inches long
Countdown:
Hopefully just 15 weeks left!
Total weight gain/loss: I think about 10-12 lbs now
Maternity Clothes?:
Totally. Garment bottoms, maternity jeans, sweats when I'm at home, and maternity shirts on full rotation. Thanks to my best friend from high school, who gave me all her maternity clothes, not all of them are the same ol' clothes I've used the last two pregnancies so it's fun shopping my closet every (other) day!
Energy Levels: My energy doesn't kick in til around 10am, and I feel really tired in the afternoon, but when I try to nap, I can't fall asleep easily. It's kind of a bummer.
Exercise Habits: Pretty good (minus Thanksgiving week). I still try and get out and walk for 45 minutes every day. I actually mapped it out the other day and it's almost 2.5 miles of walking! And then I try to remember to do push-ups and either squats or lunges when I get home but depending on what we have going on that day, sometimes I forget or am rushing to get us out the door.
Sleeping?Off and on. A lot of the time, starting a few weeks ago, I wake up and it takes forever to fall back asleep. Like an hour or so. Not great when it happens twice a night.
Worst Moment in the last 5 weeks: The sleeping, and my tailbone started hurting! Mostly it doesn't bother me, but when I'm going from laying to standing, or rolling over, it hurts.
Best Moment in the past 5 weeksfinding out we are having a girl! It seriously took forever for it to sink in. I'm still getting used to the idea that we will have pink in the house finally! And a big thanks to the people who have given/set aside stuff for us!
Miss anything?: a smaller belly. It just gets in the way.
Movement: Tons! I feel like she moves more frequently than the boys did, but she is also more gentle than they were!
Morning Sickness?: Finally subsided for good around 21 weeks
Food Cravings: still no cravings really. Sweets are finally starting to taste better though! Not sure that's a good thing
Food Aversions: still no major aversions either. I will still get the feeling sometimes while cooking like "why am I making this? it sounds horrid" but then I eat and I'm fine
Showing yet?: Totally.
Gender: Girl! Heehee!
Labor signs: I've maybe had one or two braxton hicks total.
Moods: Tired and short tempered. Nothing has changed here in the last few weeks. My poor boys and husband.
Not Looking Forward to: I have my glucose test this week. Also not looking forward to more crankiness from me. I hate being that cranky but as much as I try to breath and control it, I'm still failing miserably.
Looking Forward To: meeting baby girl! Too bad it's still so far away!!

25 weeks with baby girl!

Thanksgiving 2017

We had a nice Thanksgiving in our home this year! We have been traveling so much the last couple months we wanted to just hang out. We invited the missionaries over for dinner, and also had my friend Kristi and her little boy, and Sean's friend from school. We had quite the feast! It was so fun.

Morning walk turned into morning bike ride at the park with friends!
And then lollipops on the couch while watching a show.

Our glorious bacon-wrapped turkey!

Rhodes rolls. So good.

Pistachio salad! The best!

Our turkey is done!

We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, pistachio salad, Martinelli's to drink and pumpkin pie for dessert! And I kept to my schedule so everything was done right at 5! Not bad for my first time cooking everything! The only thing I didn't make was the pie; that was store-bought and brought by Kyle.

Silly faces with these two buds!

Our crew sans kids!

My cute boys! Gosh I am so thankful for them!

My world. Love this Parker family of mine!

Halloween 2017

Here I am, just another mom who wasn't really all that into Halloween... until she had kids, and it is just so fun to make holidays special for them! This Halloween was no exception. Mason started asking to go to a Halloween party back in like August or something. Luckily, the primary presidency in our ward (of which I am a part) was in charge of the Halloween party for our ward this year, so I knew we would for sure be going to one. We had fun doing Halloween crafts, wearing ghost shirts, and of course PUMPKINS! Luke's favorite new word! I also made their costumes this year, along with new trick or treat bags, because I cannot for the life of me find where I put Mason's bag from last year. Oh well. And now for a slew of pictures!

This cracked me up at Safeway!

My Halloween craft, and Mason's pumpkins. I cut out the shapes for him, and he picked where he wanted them to go on each pumpkin. We also made a couple cute little spiders that aren't pictured.

Grandpa brought home pumpkins!!

We decorated Halloween cookies with Mason's little buds :)

We love Papa Murphy's, and Mason's excitement level was THROUGH THE ROOF when he saw this pizza we ordered!

Picking out our pumpkins!

I love the picture of Sean and the boys in that pumpkin!

Hay maze!

And of course, the tractors were the biggest hit of the day!

Thank goodness for selfie sticks lol! Sean hates them but I don't care. I will get a cute pic of my fam!

We had tons of leftover frosting from the cookie decorating party, so Mason and I made a spooky Halloween house! He loved it! And Sean loved eating it over the next couple days haha.

Whipped up these trick or treat bags for the boys. I bought an orange fat quarter from Walmart, so the whole project literally cost $1. I had the green scraps already. Eventually they might get jack-o-lantern faces. Who knows.

We carved our pumpkins!

Don't know why this loaded sideways, oh well. The boys were the Wild Kratt brothers and they looked so adorable! I bought thermal shirts off of Amazon (one size up so they last through next winter too), bought $3 black t-shirts and cut them into the vest shapes, and then between my friend and my felt stash, I had enough to add the details. I love love love how they turned out!

Halloween morning breakfast!

Grandma Parker sent Halloween books! We found Duck & Goose Honk! Quack! Boo! at our library and fell in love with it, so Grandma sent that to us, along with another one. Gosh these two are cute!

Halloween party! We trunk-or-treated around the parking lot, someone snapped that awesome picture of Sean, I won the M&M guessing game (score!), and the costumes look great! Loved "dressing up" baby girl this Halloween ;)
