Besties and bumps and bruises

Now that I am working again, it's no secret that my days can be rather boring. Sometimes the most exciting thing I do is wash my face. Or go to the grocery store for diapers or sweet potato puffs. But the last week I actually did some exciting things!

Tuesday was a particularly exciting day: I had not one, but two visitors! First, my wonderful friend Ally was in town, and she and her mom came over and hung out and chatted for about an hour. Ally and I used to live next door to each other in college, and we loved playing dumpster ball (a.k.a. throwing our full garbage bags over the balcony and trying to land them in the dumpster. Sometimes we missed...). Now she lives in Northern California with her husband and they are expecting a little boy in July! Mason was so cute, he kept crawling to Ally and putting his hand on her baby bump. He knew that there was a good friend in there!

After they left, Mason went down for a nap, then about when he woke up my friend Nicole and her baby boy, Bentley, came over! Nicole and I worked together for about 7 or 8 months, and our babies are a few months apart. They were so cute together, smiling and giggling at each other.

Getting two babies to look at the camera=impossible.
Also, Bentley is 3 months younger, but Mason is smaller since he moves around all dang day.

This weekend was a good one for bumps on the head apparently too. Poor Mason had a good go at this. On Friday he fell off the bed and hit his head on the dresser, then Sunday he slipped in the tub and has a little shiner on his left eye. And we ran out of Advil Saturday night, so no relief for him. Poor guy. What a trooper, even without pain meds he still put on a happy face most of the time.

There is a bruise under his eye and a red mark right above his eyelid

Scrape on his head, and a bruise on his forehead. Poor guy

In other news, I went through a lot of the PA schools in the country (90 of them to be exact) and listed what classes Sean would need to get in to each one. There are a lot that are going to get crossed off because some of them have ridiculous requirements (like 9 different credits of psychology/sociology), but there are quite a few that he will be able to apply to and probably have a fighting chance of being accepted once he finishes his prerequisites in December. Sadly, some of the applications are due in September or October (like Duke's for example) so we have a lot to do this summer: GRE prep course and the actual exam, medical terminology, and a couple of classes. Then in the fall he will finish up two more classes and then we will finish applications over Christmas break. Woo! We are so excited to possibly be starting grad school next fall!
