so i married a funny guy

Sean texted me after he got to school yesterday: "So the sky was clear until I hit 900 North and then all of a sudden it looked like a million beanie babies threw up on me..."

"we're fresh out of zebra"

I seriously love my crockpot. I love the ease of throwing something in, and then when I come home, dinner is ready. It is the best. And bay leaves are the secret to making any meat that has been crock-potted taste even better. I owe my mom for that one.

This morning, Sean and I threw a 2 lb. pork roast into the crockpot with a bit of water, some salt and pepper, and a bay leaf. About half an hour before we ate, Sean shredded the pork and dumped in half a bottle of barbecue sauce and we let it soak into the meat.

I seriously almost died. The meat was so good and flavorful. I am going to dream about it tonight.

The other best part? Leftovers for tomorrow :) ohh the yumminess that will get me through another day of work.

Anyone have any favorite crockpot recipes they want to share?

Three cheers for crockpots!

P.S. Name the movie quote from the title...

happy

I love being married. The past five days have brought me so much joy :)

Although part of it might have been our vacation in Moab.
Short and sweet but totally a great break from life.

I love this man. I love that he gets me. And I love that I can be five with him :)

P.S. Wedding details/pictures to come :)

You can count on me...

10 days until Sean and I get married!!!
9 days until I see my parents and brother!
8 hours until I see Sean today :)
7 days until my first Valentine's day with an actual, real date
6 hours until I am at the Pharmacy, which I love working at
5 days until my last Sunday as a single in a single's ward (I may have just jinxed Sean and I, sorry hun!)
4 days will mark the completion of my 3rd week externing in the pharmacy
3 days until there is only 1 week left to finish everything for the wedding
2 is the number of enrollments I have today (pray for more!)
1 day until date night seeing Beauty and the Beast!

I honestly can't believe it is so close. It finally seems like things are slowing down and getting finished. I'm not nearly as stressed about wedding stuff as I was last week. My dress is almost done, our wedding bands are being made, the luncheon is taken care of, we are getting our marriage license this week, and I just have to get the stuff for the reception and figure out how much food to get. Costco will be getting lots of service from me next week. So excited!

Let the official countdown begin: 10 more days!!!

Update: Christmas to present

For Christmas, I went to California and Sean stayed in Utah. What a long 3 days, but we made it. Somehow...

Facetime on our phones, opening our Christmas pj's on Christmas Eve.

Me and the bro, Christmas morning before Church.

I came back to Utah the night after Christmas, and then the next 4 days were spent moving me into our apartment and cleaning my old place. So much work but luckily we passed inspection!

Exhausted after moving everything and cleaning for two days.

Sean and I went up with most of his family to Smithfield, UT, where we celebrated New Years and his Aunt Camille's birthday.

Happy New Year! Snack time at Burger King before the drive.

Paper crowns from the poppers.

Over the next few weeks we have done lots of random little things, but mostly wedding plans for me and homework, and lots of it, for Sean.

Waiting for my prescription to be filled at Walgreens. Crazy beanies.

We had my bridal shower the other day, lots of fun :)

My spoils, inside the bags of course.

Date night on Saturday: Brick Oven pizza and Galaxy Quest

First bite of pizza in months... delicious

We ordered Sean's suit for the wedding and got one half off. He wore the other one on Sunday, and Blaze was running around the house. So he decided to hide on top of the couch.

 I seriously love this man.

My good friend had heart surgery to have something corrected (she's fine, don't worry) and someone posted this on her wall.

Seriously, my new motto. For everything.

Blaze is loving the snow, but doesn't like it when his ball is covered snow. He has to eat the snow off his ball before he can pick it up.

He seriously looks so pretty in the snow. Not the best picture because it is in the shade, but he is. Trust me.

Fifteen and a half more days! Can't wait!
