Luke 6 months

I can't believe it! Half a year with this little guy in our lives! It has been crazy having him around, especially the last two months of moving, but I cannot imagine life without him! I love watching Mason grow into a caring big brother (don't get me wrong, he has his moments of mean to Luke) and watching Luke grow and learn, and especially figure out how cool his big bro is!

Likes:
-Bathtime. Officially. I may have said officially before, but now he cries when we get him out.
-Baby food. He has liked everything we have given him, even when it doesn't do well with his system (rice constipated him, green beans made him spit up and up and up and...). Oatmeal FTW!
-When big brother Mason plays with him. Mason gets the BEST laughs out of Luke of anyone and it is the most adorable thing ever.
-Sitting up. He is so good!
-The exersaucer. I think he likes being in it because he can stand. Makes him feel powerful. Or something. Haha.

Dislikes:
-His carseat. We leave the infant carrier in the car and just carry him back and forth (seriously, he weighs so much and the added weight of the car seat... no thank you!). But when we try to buckle him in, a lot of times he has a cow. Once he's buckled he's fine though.
-On a related note, does NOT like when we turn a corner and the sun is in his eyes all of a sudden. But he also hates the sun shade... pick the lesser of two evils kid!
-Being on his tummy or back. But, I tell him, you need to practice being on your tummy to learn to roll and crawl! No way, he says, I like sitting. And standing. Sorry not sorry.

Other notables:
-Found his teeth and tongue this month! His tongue is out of his mouth a lot of the time. And on the rare occasion he lets me put him on his back, he puts his feet in his mouth.
-I mentioned sitting: I stay pretty close, but if I put him down I can get up and do stuff, and he's good as long as he has a couple toys within reach. If Mason is in the room, I stay very, very close. Mason likes to watch him topple.
-Moved up to 12 month clothes just after he turned 5 months. Seriously kid? I guess he just needs to get big so he can keep up with Mason.
-Broke the 20lb club. He is so dang heavy. I don't have height/weight percentages yet because he hasn't had his appointment (we are still trying to figure out insurance after our move... sigh) but I will update when I have them.
-First bath not in the baby bath seat! This was a big deal for Mason. "Luke bath with me??" He was so excited. And every time I say "Mason, bath time!" He says "Baby Luke bath too!" I guess Mason is looking out for Luke's hygiene. I appreciate that.
-First time sitting in the grocery cart as well. My mom has the little cart insert thing she used when we were babies, so Luke got to try it out! It was a success. I didn't hear a peep out of him the whole store trip! He was so content with his toys.

We love our little squishy!!

Where Luke is, Mason follows...

I really love these moments

Luke 5 months

Time is just flying with this little boy in our lives! He is interacting more and more, and Mason is starting to pay more attention to him, and it is so fun!

Likes:
- rice cereal
- sitting up
- his exersaucer (shout-out to my mom for buying one to be a "grandma's house" toy!)
- watching whatever Mason is doing, and loves when Mason plays with him!
- bath time (finally!)
- loves the star-shaped links we have
- playing with Grandma and Grandpa! (And I love when they get home and want to play with and hold him! He makes my arms tired!!)

Dislikes:
- being too warm, especially when he is sleeping. This presents a problem because he still likes to be swaddled to go to sleep..
- having to poop. The rice cereal has slowed his bowels down and its not his fave. I'm debating backing off for a few more weeks..

Other notables:
- doesn't really care for tummy time, so he has no interest in rolling or crawling
- trying really hard to sit on his own. He does pretty well but I don't dare walk away yet..
-outgrowing his 9 month clothes. Is this kid for real?? He's huge! Haha but I love it!
-"talking" even more and I love it.
-still nursing really well, although with the stress of the move etc. my milk supply has decreased and he's had a couple bottles with formula mixed in with breast milk. I completely burned through my freezer supply and am trying to build it back up. Not easy when his digestive system doesn't like solids yet!

We are seriously smitten by this kid! We love his charming smiles, and he sneaks you one at the silliest times. It's great!

Grandma got him to sleep yay! / We have tons of pics os Mason sleeping like this.Luke doesn't do it often

Stares out the window and watches the dogs. He's pretty content there most of the time!

 Sunday School Selfie

Driving to CA, we pulled over just after Tahoe and I nursed Luke while Mason and Sean explored. This is his "mom are you crazy?? I can't drive!" face.

Lots of car rides this past month. He was such a trooper!

Buddies with Grandpa

Fascinated by the marbles

Why are sleeping babies so precious?!

Any time Luke is doing tummy time, Mason usually ends up right next to him.

(Well these got all out of order but whatever.)
Happy 5 months kid! Now slow down!!

Luke 4 months

Holy moly, can this little guy be 4 months already? I feel like it's flying by!

Likes
- chewing on his hands, or my finger through a burp cloth. He often gags himself with his fingers which he does not like
- his exersaucer and his playmat
- baths, finally. He does not like hot water like the rest of us do. Dare I say it? He prefers it lukewarm..
- when I say "hi!" to him when he wakes up. Best grins!
-watching big brother
- making noise

Dislikes
- the 5 seconds he is laying on my lapp while I get ready to nurse him
- nursing under a cover. He used to be okay with it but now that it's getting warmer he's like "no thanks Mom."

Other notables
- moved him up to Size 3 diapers
- starting to try and sit up (not super easy for this big baby!)
- starting to try to scoot forward on his yummy
- we moved him up to 9 month clothes 2 days ago. Whaaa?? He's just so long in the torso, and chunky in the waist
- babbles all day long

Meeting Penny (left) and Rilee (right) for the first time!

Grandma babysat Mason and Luke at Carly's house while Sean and I attended his sister's endowment session at the Provo City Center Temple

Blessing day!

I can't even..

My sister had some fun with snapchat filters. I LOVE the puppy one haha

Happy 4 months baby boy!!
