Utah trip/Tim and Hannah's wedding!

We went to Utah for 12 days for my little brother's wedding! I have decided that 12 days is a long time to be gone, especially without a husband haha. But we had such a fun trip and packed a lot into our visit!

August 12-13

And we're off! Mom picked us up, we drove halfway on the 12th and got to Utah on the 13th.

Nope, not pretty at all... I LOVE driving through Tahoe!!

"Mom, I build house!" And Luke enjoyed playing with a plastic lid.

We stayed in Elko. Mason hitched a ride to the car!

Playing at the park in Wendover.

Checking out the cows near Aunt Linda and Uncle Larry's house

Oh Utah, I do miss your pretty scenery!

Mason was terrified of their dog, Lulu, until the last day. Of course. He also liked getting into mischief whenever he could. Obviously.

What, you don't stack blocks on your head??

August 14
I took the boys to our old Springville ward, and the common question asked was "are you guys back??" No sorry (silent sobs), just visiting! The next most common question was how was Sean enjoying school. That's legit I guess haha.

After, we went to Sean's parents house and the boys got to spend the day with their cousins.

August 15: Zoo Day!
My mom is awesome and took us to the zoo! Carly has a membership, so she and a guest were free, so Jenny got in with her. I have a membership to the Sacramento Zoo, which entitles me to a discount at select zoos across the country, so the ticket lady discounted mine, my moms, and Mason's ticket!

Right when we got there, I had to nurse Luke, so everyone went ahead and I caught up. I finally got to see the baby lions! And I sat Luke next to the daddy lion just for fun. I got some laughs as I made a fool of myself trying to take a picture haha.

These two LOVE their aunt Jenny!

We rode the carousel (well, I sat with the babies while everyone else rode) and then Mason saw a nest! He was so excited. (Note, I do not know where his nest fascination came from.)

We saw the rest of the animals, and then got to feed the giraffes! I was so proud of Mason, he was super nervous but he did it!

Time to go! I showed him how to move the ball. And then he picked out the polar bear from the gift shop and promptly fell asleep in the car! Sign of a good day!

Another Utah sunset because I can't help myself.

The next day we had a pretty relaxed day. I set up the kiddie pool for Mason and we spent most of the afternoon outside.

August 17: Provo Rec Center
My mom decided to take us to the Rec center as well! I had a blast here with Mason last summer, and it was fun to bring him again! Best part, Zach and Autumn brought baby Rilee and she and Luke got to splash around together!

I will never get tired of these two having so much fun together! They went down this slide a million times! And one time they even tried to go off on their own to the big kid slides!

We love the Blackham's! Wouldn't it be so funny and awesome if these two cute babes did end up getting married?!?! I would LOVE that!

After the rec center, we went to Sean's parents for a barbecue so Mason could have more cousin time!

 August 18: Friend day!

I got to meet Chelsie's sweet little Rosie! I love tiny babies! I feel slightly jipped because Luke got so big so fast, it was fun to hold a little baby again!

After picking my dad up from the airport, I went to see one of Sean's best friend's from high school! This is the third time Lindsay and I have seen each other (the first was her wedding) but seriously? She is awesome, and it is like we have been friends forever! Bonus: she ALSO has a tiny baby to snuggle!!

I tried to nap on the floor while these two played contently. It lasted 2 minutes and 37 seconds.

After dinner, we picked Linda's raspberries! Did you know there was such a thing as THORNLESS raspberry bushes?? I did not and I cannot wait to plant my own thornless bush!

August 19

All the love for Aunt Jenny!

We set up Tim's brunch! And then my OCD toddler decided he needed to stand all the Hershey Kisses upright. I had a good laugh at that.

The bowties I made for Mason, Luke, and Grant!

Fun story. Sean's flight was supposed to get in at 11pm in SLC, but it was delayed out of Oakland, so he wasn't going to land until 4am. What?! So he called Cameron, and Cam picked him up and let him crash at his place, then Carly and Bryce picked him up on the way down the next morning.

August 20: Wedding Day!

Carly: "Hey, me and Tim both have polka dots!" Sorry you can't really tell in the picture Carly! But then I wanted a picture with the groom too!

"Mom! Ta-da!" I checked the sturdiness of the chairs and they weren't tipsy at all so I let him keep playing! I'm such a cool mom.

We went to Sean's parent's house after to relax and get ready, and so Sean could spend time with his family. All of a sudden there was a knock at the door, and Tim asked if he could get ready there! Well okay handsome guy! His cufflinks were awesome, they are carabiners!

Sean's parents watched all 4 kids while we went to the sealing, which was beautiful! After the sealing, Carly, Bryce and I rushed back to their house to get the kids in their picture clothes, and drove back to the temple. The reception was at someone's house and was beautiful, and the FOOD WAS SO GOOD. Tim and Hannah did a ring ceremony, which I totally cried through. It was beautiful!

Mad because I won't let him play in the water.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones!

Cute boys in their bowties!

Oakley leads to the CUTEST pictures. So glad I could capture these two moments!

Chase and hide-n-seek. I love the picture on the right for some reason!

I seriously love this rambunctious boy!! In the picture on the left he ran out to get Oakley!

August 21

Sean and I took our boys to his parent's sacrament meeting, and then we left to hang out at their house before Sean had to fly home. He flew out of the Provo airport, but as soon as I dropped him off, both boys were sound asleep. So I took the LONG way back to Linda and Larry's (through south Provo, Springville, Mapleton, Spanish Fork, Payson, Salem, and Santaquin) and as I got back on the freeway in Santaquin, Mason woke up, so I asked him if he wanted to see the temple. He said yes, so we drove to the Payson temple and parked outside for a few minutes. I love how excited he got every time we saw the temple this trip!

We went back to Linda and Larry's and had a BBQ! Yummy fish they caught, and a tri-tip. And somehow, Bryce got Mason to pet Lulu!

 August 22

Riding with Uncle Larry!

That night, I drove up to Carly's to spend the night, so it was one less hour in the car for my boys. It actually ended up being a very good thing.

August 23-24: The drive back

Anything to keep us entertained! I was smushed between the carseats the whole way.

Yes, I let him color with marker on his hand.

The hotel we stayed at was the Parker Model T Hotel and Casino! I'm convinced that if I had played cards, I would have won a million dollars. Mason thought this little Model T was pretty cool!

All in all, an AWESOME trip!
