Be a Solid Bunny

Happy Easter! Well, I guess I'm a couple days late...

I've been wanting to post about this for a while, just wanted to wait until Easter. Probably because of the pictures.

Anyway, which of the above bunnies would you rather eat? Which one would you, on first instinct, grab off the shelf and take home (they are the same price and size)?

Me too! I would grab the second one! It's so cute!

Ok, now what if I told you the first one, though not as attractive, was solid chocolate, and the other one was hollow? Yeah, I'd go for the first one, more chocolate!

We had a Relief Society... event? meeting? something... not sure, but it was on a Saturday and there were speakers, an opening and closing prayer, and then food. Good food. And a candy bar... mmm. As in, a table with bunch of different candies on it and you grab a bag and put as much as you want of whatever you want in the bag. So delish.

Anyway, one of the speakers made the following point about the bunnies. We often get so caught up on appearance and being what everyone else wants us to be, that we often neglect the important things we should be working on; our spirituality, sanity, health, self-esteem, things like that. If we are only focusing on the outward appearance but not the inside stuff too, that makes us hollow. We need to focus on all of it (because if we don't feel good about the outside too, come one, let's be honest, we still won't be that happy) and be a "solid bunny".

I mean, come on, now that you know that it is solid chocolate, isn't it way more attractive?
