Christmas Cookies 2012

It's no secret that I love baking. Especially cookies. It's also no secret that I love the kids in our primary. So what do I get when I combine the two? Mayhem disguised as A LOT of fun!

Yesterday we had a family in our ward send their kids over to help me decorate the sugar cookies I made on Sunday. And they went to town... Sprinkles everywhere, frosting dripping off each cookie, and lots of giggles in between. It was so fun and they didn't want to go home!

Eve didn't want to be in the picture.
Neither did Dexter. He is hiding on the ground behind Truman (on the right).
Graham and Laura are the two in the middle.

It's hard work getting a picture of Dexter!
(Sorry Sean)

Truman now wants Sean to teach him how to play the guitar :)

The finished product. My apologies to anyone who gets these cookies.
Well, it will mainly be my primary kids. So they probably won't care...

And then when it was time to go:
Me: "Ok kids time to go home for dinner!"
Everyone: "NOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Love it!

popsicles

Kelly and Glen asked us to babysit. We played outside a lot after dinner, and our upstairs neighbors shared some popsicles with us. I thought this picture was really cute.

I don't know for sure if Kelly and Glen have trained James to sit and stay put while he is eating a popsicle, but he planted himself on the doorstep. Then Ethan went to sit by his new friend :)

I look terrible. I was getting over a cold. Anyway, love babysitting those kids! And then the next day Ethan got home and told his mom, "I'm going to play with my friends", and got a little sad when he realized they weren't there to play with him again.

Last Friday Night

No not the Kesha song. Although it was a party at Sean's and my house. Kelly and Glen dropped their girls off so they could go out to dinner.

We did fun Easter crafts,

watched Tangled,

made cupcakes,

and played outside.

Side note: Sarah is TERRIFIED of any animal that moves. The fact that she actually got close enough to pet Jake, the neighbor's dog, (who I sometimes think is just an over-sized stuff animal as much as he just lays around) is a big deal. She also said we could let Blaze out of his kennel when Kelly and Glen got back. And while she hid on the couch behind her mom, she laughed a lot when I did tricks with him. Especially the crawling trick. Progress. Baby steps right? Maybe that is Blaze's next trick...

Oh yeah. And then we ended the night playing Disney Scene-It. Awesome!
