Hiking the Y

My good friend from college, Jess, had her birthday a few weeks ago, and she decided she wanted to hike Y Mountain in Provo with whoever wanted to come. Sean and I said "Let's Go!" He actually had never hiked it before. I thought Mason would be chill once we got going in the baby carrier, but he was not having it. So Sean carried him up and down the mountain. We got to the top as the sun was starting to set, which made for some pretty pictures! Utah in summer is the best! Thanks for inviting us Jess!

Mason fell asleep halfway down the mountain. Poor kid was so tired...

Hope you had a fun birthday Jess! Glad we got to spend some time together!

PS. I've had my iPhone 5 for a year and a few months. And these are the first panorama pictures I took… hashtag lame...

Jenny visits!

We had a surprise visit from Jenny a couple weeks ago! Poor Mason; he did not like Ruby. He was intimidated by her size or something (she's only the smallest lab in the world…) but once she was gone he was fine. Thanks for coming to visit Aunt Jenny! And thanks for Mason's cool birthday presents!

Fun in June

We had a lot of fun things we did last month! First, we celebrated Sarah Jane getting baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! What a fun experience to watch her take this important step! Mason had a great time playing in my skirt, and causing mischief with cousin Michael after ;)

Peek-a-boo in Mommy's skirt: best game ever!

Say "trouble"!

Congrats Sarah Jane!

Sean's best friend, Alex, works at the shop next to The Quarry, so he can get us in free pretty much any time we want. Usually this means Saturday nights after Mason is asleep haha. Sean hadn't led climbed in a while, so I made him get up on that wall. Then we went to Sonic for a treat after.

Mason went to Seven Peaks for the first time! It was a huge success! He loves the water, and once he figured out it was like a giant bath tub, he was all over the place. Of course, even the shallowest pool is deep when you can't walk yet… so we spent the entire time helping him walk so he didn't crawl into the "deep" water and drown. He loved trying to catch the water spouting out of the pipe.

We have the Pass of All Passes (awesome!) so we hit up Trafalga one night when I was trying to kill time before Mason's bed time. He thought the club hitting the golf ball was SO funny. He giggled the first 10 minutes straight. And then it was only when Sean and I reacted after missing. He was probably mocking us…

We also went to the Bean Museum with Sean's parents and sister to check it out after it had reopened! It looks way different than before and is so nice now! Mason picked out that snake toy from the gift shop. Meaning he picked it up and put it in his mouth before I could stop him haha.

This carving was done by President Boyd K. Packer. They have a lot of his personal work at the museum right now, and it is definitely worth it to go see. His stuff is amazing!

Carly and Oakley visit!

We had such a fun weekend with Carly and Oakley! Carly's husband, Bryce, flew out of Salt Lake to interview at a Physical Therapy school in Indiana, so Carly made a weekend out of it! They got here Sunday so we got to hang out at church for a couple hours. (Warning: Picture Overload)

Sorry, but there is going to be quite a few pictures of Oakley smiling. She just smiles so much easier than Mason!

Selfies with Oats.

After church we took the babies home to feed them, and then Mason "showed" Oakley his toys. (Read: she would start playing with something and he would take it. Every time.)

A rousing game of Peek-a-Boo

 Dog pile!

"Oakley, these are my stacking cups. This is how you stack, but with people!"

Cuties :)

We went to Aunt Linda's house for dinner, where Holly and her kids are staying! So fun to see cousins, and the babies who are all within a year of each other.

Holly and Tobias (14 months), Carly and Oakley (6 months), Me and Mason (12 months)

On Monday, Carly came over in the morning and we hung out until the babies went down for naps.

They were both so tired when we went to the store. Mason slept for 3 hours after we got home.

Then I worked while she bummed around (sorry I wasn't more exciting Carly!), and then after babies lunches we went to Seven Peaks!

Oakley was not a happy camper. Carly thinks there was too much going on. She fell asleep after a bit.

Ran into some of Sean's and my favorite primary kids from our old ward!

Then home for dinner, and after, we met Holly and Linda and the kids at the Bean Museum on BYU campus. We went for ice cream after, and Carly had to take off to pick up Bryce.

Mason was blowing spit bubbles and Oakley was laughing at him.

Steam roller!

We had to take a picture in front of the giraffe, Mom's favorite animal!

Quick trip but it was so fun to see the babies play together! Can't wait for Christmas!
